Tour de Fleece 2025

Tour de Fleece:

Challenge yourself to spin every day for three weeks, July 5–27! We will have a Tour de Fleece “team” with in-person and virtual get-togethers, a chat forum on Ravelry, and even a few random-draw prizes for team participants at the end. The event is not competitive; you set your own goals and challenge yourself to meet them. “Co-Captains” Kara Pekar & Mary Snellings will talk more about TdF at the guild meeting on April 12. And watch your email and the Guild newsletters for more on how FSWG members can participate! (You can also check out the Tour de Fleece worldwide event page on Ravelry.)

Tour de Fleece a celebration of all things spinning that takes place during the Tour de France (July 5 – July 27, 2025.) Spinners and teams don’t compete against each other. Instead, spinners set their own personal goals and challenges to complete during the event, spinning at home or wherever they choose. You join a team for the camaraderie and encouragement.

Spin with Team FSWG 2025 for Tour de Fleece!

What, where, and when is Tour de Fleece?

The main goal is to spin every day that the cyclists are riding.* On their rest days (July 15 and 21), you can take the day off. And on the Challenge days—the toughest, most mountainous days of the race—you set yourself an additional challenge, like learning a new technique or spinning longer than your usual days.

Don’t worry—you’ve got this! Whether you’re brand new or a spinning pro, we’d love to see your Tour de Fleece projects. Spin at your own pace and have fun! By spinning at least 15 minutes every day, you spend time practicing your skills. We find that each time that we finish TdF, we have become better spinners.

*You don’t have to be interested in bike racing or the Tour de France to participate in Tour de Fleece. Just look at it as a chance to focus on your spinning for three weeks!
