Mission
Organized in 1982, the purpose of the guild is to provide a supportive environment for persons interested in weaving, spinning, knitting and other fiber arts and to teach and promote the knowledge and use of fiber arts in the community.
Members of the guild participate at various fairs, take part in demonstrations at local schools and are active in The Living Legacies Exhibit sponsored by APVA in Fredericksburg.
FSWG is a member guild of the Handweaver’s Guild of America
Meetings
Meetings are generally held the second Saturday of each calendar month starting at 10:00 AM, beginning with business matters, then show-and-tell, refreshments, and visiting with one another. A program or activity is scheduled after each meeting for no or very low cost.
Unless otherwise noted, meetings are held at:
916 Liberty Street
Fredericksburg, VA 22401
540-663-3318
Dues/Membership
Dues are $30.00 annually, per person.
Equipment/Studio Space Rental
Some studio space is available for monthly rental from the guild. Having a space in the studio provides a peaceful and inspiring place to weave or spin! The guild also has a wide variety of equipment available for rental at very reasonable fees.
I am looking for spinning lessons. Any info would be great.
