3rd Annual Let’s Stitch Event

The Fredericksburg Spinners and Weavers Guild, in conjunction with the non-profit group From the Heart of Richmond, will once again give area knitters and crocheters a chance to ply their craft at the 3rd annual Let’s Stitch. The Let’s Stitch charitable event is a way for knitters and crocheters to do what they love while serving those in need in the community.

When: October 12, 2013; 10 AM – 4 PM

Where: LibertyTown Arts Workshop, 916 Liberty Street

In addition to helping the community, there is an opportunity to win door prizes generously donated by individuals and corporations committed to helping serve those in need.

1-Cabot_$75_gift_bagThe Fredericksburg Spinners and Weavers Guild would like to thank Cabot Cheese again for their gift basket contribution to this year’s event. From the farm families who own Cabot Creamery Cooperative – the gift basket includes an assortment of award-winning, naturally aged cheddars (6.5 lbs.) packed along with Cabot Cheddar Shake, a wooden cutting board and cheese slicer in a reusable burlap tote. In all, a $75.00 value.

Once again we will be asking all members to come out and participate on the day of the event.  We have been fortunate that for the 3rd year on a row our committee chairpersons have stepped up and taken on their jobs again.  Please contact these members to see how you can help (or they might be contacting you!):

Hosting duties:  Mary Hardy

Demonstrations:  Anne Nourse

Refreshments:  Peg Waters

Door Prizes:  Judy Klehm

Instructors:  Fran Slaterback

From the Heart volunteers:  Pam Greswolde

Currently the Guild is asking for donations of yarn and needles which may be dropped off at LibertyTown Arts Workshop.  For more information contact Lynette Reed at: yarnlyn@aol.com or the Guild at www.fswguild.org

  1. Greetings to all from Eastern Europe. Having a wonderful trip, but wanted to let you know that I am looking for door prizes for our big event. If you know of any stores or organizations that would be willing to donate, please let me know. Also, if you would like to put a gift together, that would be great, as well. So far I have pretty good wifi on the trip so you can email me at jwklehm@gmail.com. I’ll be home on the 26th and probably recovered from jet lag by the 29th.
