Written by Do you want or need a fiber arts demonstration? The Fredericksburg Spinners and Weavers Guild (FSWG) offers demonstrations to the community to raise awareness of the beauty and benefits of learning and practicing fiber arts. We like to talk about:
- The history of fiber manipulation and textile production;
- The properties of different fiber types and how those properties can be used to achieve specific cloth characteristics;
- Augment STEM learning by showing concepts in real world applications;
- Physical and mental health development and support.
